TEXARKANA, TX – The no. 11 LSU Shreveport Pilots Baseball Team fell to the Texas A&M University-Texarkana 12-1 in RRAC action Thursday evening in Game one of the weekend series. The Pilots fall to 34-9 and (15-4) in RRAC play, while the Eagles improve to 23-20, and 11-8 in league play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Eagles got the ball game started with 3 runs in the first inning.
After a scoreless inning in the second inning the Eagles added 4 more runs in the bottom of the third inning.
Both teams would remain scoreless in the fourth inning.
The Eagles would add to their lead with a run in the bottom of the fifth inning as well as four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. Holding on for the 12-1 win.
ON THE MOUND
Luisdiego Quintana (SO/Albuquerque, New Mexico) would get the start for the Pilots today going one inning giving up 4 hits and 3 earned run on 35 pitches and 7 at bats, with 2 strikeouts.
Stachys McLoud (SR/Overland Park, Kansas) was up next going 2 innings giving up 5 hits and 3 earned runs on 43 pitches and 12 at bats, with 2 strikeouts.
