SHREVEPORT, LA – The no. 11 LSU Shreveport Pilots baseball team won the first 2 games against the visiting Jarvis Christian College Bulldogs in RRAC action on Saturday afternoon. FROM THE COACH

"I think the as a team we did enough to win both games, but we definitely didn't play our best baseball," said LSUS Coach Brent Lavallee "Jarvis is a tough team and they pitched us pretty tough. I thought that we pitched well all day. Hats off to our two starters Luisdiego Quintana (SO/Albuquerque, New Mexico) and Alex Naiser (SR/Cypress, Texas), and the two relievers, we used Brendan Owens (SR/Pearland, Texas) and Adrian Cook (SR/Victoria, Texas). Those guys kept us in the ball games long enough to do what we needed to do to win. Jordan Trahan (SR/Dayton, Texas) came up big in game one with a game winning homerun, and then Miguel Morgan (JR/Ellisville, Mississippi) with a Walk-Off 2 RBI double in game two. We had runners on all day long, but I'm not sure we had a 2 out hit all day. All in all we took care of our business and came out on top. "
